Looks like the prodigy will be his own master pretty soon. Is that infamous fluorescent orange Suffix?
Another solid largemouth that appeared to be in the 4 to 5 pound class narrowly escaped the net last evening when Dan's white jelly jig tipped with a live cricket was rudely greeted adjacent to flooded wood. Hook set appeared to be solid and the fish was coaxed out to within ten feet of the chariot when she took to the air and managed to shake the jig.......he was going for his third trip in a row with a really fine largemouth in his creel......
Appreciate the kind words Tooty......I quit showing him any other tips.....don't want him to beat me at my own game....LOL
I"d have been smiling too Dan and you have a great mentor in Jeffrey , none better on here ........
Thanks Eric......Dan loves gill fishing and has become a very capable angler.......he does always hope for a bite or two from a big predator though.......
Smile says it all, and with fish like that, he'll be fishing for years to come, Congratulations Dan.
Thanks guys.......Dan was happy when this chunk grabbed his brown jelly jig tipped with a live cricket.......more than 95 percent of the water I fish is tanic Dick including this river on the northern side of the Albemarle.....we released everything yesterday with a tropical storm working in....
Nice Bass Dan. Looks kinda dark did you catch it in tanic water. CONGRATS...
