Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Big Gill of this Trip was 10.75"......a nice battle on a microcast...

Nice fish were aggressive all morning in heavy overcast and humid conditions...

I enjoy mixing it up a bit Leo.....this was a great gill and he took off strongly upon release.....the hotter it gets the faster I like to return the released fish.....

Love the shots where the offering's legs stick out. Reminds me of Jaws.

Great fish.....Bluegill anglers: the catchin's on right now, and I'm finding the fish are cooperative and not very picky....hope everyone has the chance to get out!

Thanks Dick.....these are special times for the Bluegill angler.......May was great and it appears that June may be even better and July is my favorite month in the Carolinas....

The jig in this gill's mouth use to look like this one......soft plastic gone and all the paint knocked off after just 10 nice gills and a couple bass.....
