Well, Dick got it half right. Detergent must meet some criteria. You can mix the laundry soap, 1/2 dilution to prevent the worm from being intoxicated.  Other than that, those who are fortunate enough to live near black walnut trees, use fresh juice from the walnut husk, only use 4 whole black walnut green husk per 5 gallons, unless you want to kill them, mix the water well, and poor onto a targeted area. Make sure to help the worm survive by soaking the in water for a few minutes to get the toxins out of their body.

Grunting is the best way..electrocution is the 2nd best. But flooding/create a mulch pile then dig wouldn't hurt either.

From all the worms, I prefer Georgia/Alabama jumpers. Toughest things I've seen under the soil that attract fish.

when i'd stay the summer up in ohio i'd just soak the ground with water at night or go out after dark in the rain and just grab em up!

Larry that's the way my father in law showed me to get worms and it works quite well. Another way I used was soapy water dump in on the ground pick out your worms and be sure to rinse them off.

People make mistakes, over and over and over.  Referees, officials, police, anyone who judges others make mistakes.  There are three ways to reduce mistakes; 1) don't make decisions, 2) don't tolerate bad decisions, 3) use instant replay.

Geezers make mistakes, but sometimes they know the difference.  Youngsters seldom do.
