Decided to try to tie some Poppers so I bought a package of "WASPI" Perfect Poppers .. I'm tying these to use on my 6wt rod for smallmouth.

Comment by Allen Morgan on April 6, 2013 at 2:56pm: Keep your eyes open, folks. I was just at my local Wally World today. You might want to riffle through all the clearance boxes/displays. I found another 5 packages of those size 4 bronze cricket hooks for $0.96/each. Brand names are Vicious Fishing and Conquer. These hooks are a heavy wire, 4xl size 4 hook. They're labelled as a cricket hook, but are almost identical to the size 4 streamer hooks that Mustad sells. I usually tie Clousers on these hooks and do very well with them.
