Do you love big bluegill?

i like the imagination i was given because im always coming up with something new like a drop shot fly, i havent seen someone do this yet. i dont have time to test all my ideas, but some of you do and i would like to know if it will become popular

I've been drop-shotting with live bait, mostly crickets, for several years.  I don't use a dropper line or loop, just tie the hook (usually a #4 Tru-Turn) to the line and the sinker, a BB split shot, about 10 inches or so below that.  I fish in a clear lake with several inches of algae and gunk on the bottom to a considerable depth.  This rig sinks fairly slowly and lets the bait pause just above the bottom.  The only problem:  a good bit of line twist due to the bait spinning on retrieve.  I replace the line pretty frequently.  I use 4# test mono.
