Dave you mean to tie on 2 plumbs of marabou the tail and all.
When you watched my video I did just that with the marabou at the head end. It was a little bit small so I just dubbed some marabou just like anything else dubbed.
I know no one dubbs marabou cause it's so messy , but that's what I came up with years ago as a solution to the body shape I wanted.....
HEY BUDDY also you can dub some marabou and wrap it back over the body. Ideally I'm trying to create a football shape for the body.
DICK TO INCREASE THE BODY MASS just use more marabou at the beginning of the process.
Dick if you shorten the tail in half it will be right and then just tie a fuller body buddy
I can think of no way to add body mass the way I tied it.
Hook is a #12 Gamakatsu F-12 mayfly hook. Does look a little big for a #12
Well DIck wish I was there. I'm sure that either of your attempts here will catch fish, but what kind of hook ya using? Wrap the body fuller buddy if you are trying to acheive my style . Rib is about the right size and that's good. Shorten up the tail with your fingers and not scissors......
The body is still a bit skinny. Add twice the body, trim the tail to 3/4 the length, and you're golden.
