Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

from far west Texas.

i am really looking forward to this site. i have spent most of my life outdoors. Fly rod or camera in hand. Often both. (and smart phones makes this simpler than ever). I am also very comfortable at the tying bench.

looking forward to visiting here and with you all.

besides the thousands of trout flies i've tied (actually worked professionally at this for a period of time in the 70's)... i enjoy deer hair flies and bugs. a recent one, need to scale em down for gills. (grin)

when fishing is slow i am just as apt to switch to photography. mostly with the phone these days (this one). my roots are in large format black and white negatives.

ANOTHER GREAT PHOTO !!!!!! BY THE WAY WELCOME to the best panfish site on the internet !!!!!

Love your pics and hope to see lots of em in the future ! Jeffrey Abney on here has great ones also and he has many on his page to view.....

Your Deer hair bugs are serious fly's and you do a great job ...... Once again Welcome !

Thanks David,

I prefer this kinda stuff (one of the many lm bass i caught and released last week). Really looking forward to sharing and viewing and interacting here. Thanks again.

ps, i like painting and tying poppers as well.

Thank you sir

one more photo and i'll be introduced.

i am going to be out of my element for the next few months, i'll be in southeast Texas. did a little scouting last week down there. found a little slough that looked good. i like to search around with a large bug to see what is interested (even if they can't get their mouths around it). picked up about a dozen of these small lm bass. what a blast. i know there are bluegills there. i'll definitely go back.

Great photo !!!!!!!
