Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

My favorite magazine is Field&Stream they have the most publications about Bluegill fishing and every thing in-between. And most importantly they don't repost like IN-$%#@&^%

Am I a sap because I love the beautiful covers In-Fisherman often has? I don't usually buy it but I can stand there admiring the wonderful bass/bluegill paintings that (at least used to) grace their covers. I love pictures/paintings of a bass or bluegill inspecting the bait/lure or striking.

I haven't bought a Field & Stream, In-Fisherman, or other fishing magazine (except for the local Fish Sniffer here in northern California) in ages.
Years ago I like In Fisherman magazines! In 1980's In Fisherman magazines over 200 pages but not much today! I buy In Fisherman or any fishing magazine if I like article about big bluegills or monster crappies, etc!
Not much articles about big bluegills or trophy crappies out there! Maybe one or two per year.....sad!

Midwest Outdoors magazine is nice for midwest but most articles is about basic fishing or what lake is good for, etc!

II noticed that Crappie World Magazine is not in store for a several months and maybe its out of business!
I like in-fisherman (sorry rudy) they usually have at least one article about crappie/bluegill in every issue, and it is all fishing !!!!
I used to buy In-Fisherman, Crappie Magazine, and was once a member of B.A.S.S. Then I realized over a couple of years, that a lot of the articles said basically the same thing, just switched some of the words around. (Anyone else notice this, or am I getting more senile?). I figured that if I want some good advice and information, this site is the best place to be. I got to the point with fishing shows and magazines, that it's time to go to the lake instead of sitting in my lounger watching someone else do what I enjoy. Nick.
I like to read anything about fish.

I've always been partian to In-Fisherman because of the scientific approach they always take. For the price, I always thought I got lots of cool ideas.

I've always liked Field and Stream too when I want an article that brings me mentally to a spot I've never been.

I think I like 'em all. :-)
I guess i would lean toward Field and Stream because of the fishing and hunting stories that they had in the magazines also. So when is someone going to make a Panfish magazine?
Thanks for the update Rick. I will have to go check that out.
'In Fisherman' is the only subscription I have. They seem to concentrate on catching, more than the 'Cult of Personality pro' of some lure companys funding like Bassmaster and some saturday morn fishin shows which often just put me back to sleep . I use to get 'Bassmaster' but I'm more into multi species than going into debt as a Bass fisherman doing local club tourneys... fun as it use to be.
'In Fisherman' has disappointed me recently however with its thinner issues, and frequent pages of ads so I would love to see a multi species mag covering Northeast waters that is written with the intelligience of experienced Fisherman.
Hey John...do you all have the New Jersey edition of the Fisherman magazine up your way? I currently write regularly for the Mid-Atlantic edition of the Fisherman, which is a weekly publication and in a newsprint format. Lot's of salt water stuff, being around the Chesapeake, but there are some very good articles on freshwater by some excellent writers. If you don't have them on your newstands then pm PM me your address and I can send you some copies of the Mid-Atlantic issues....you may wish to subscribe.
Jim Fisherman mag is ok but its a lot of salt water articles and I do very little saltwater fishing. Yes though I do read that mag once in a while and have liked some articles.
I'm a multi species guy and have a 20 year stack of In-Fisherman. Once upon a time, Fishing Facts was good, when they had North and South editions. Went down the tubes after is was sold to Ely advertising er uh I mean Midwest Outdoors. My other subscription is Musky Hunter.
Hi every one:

They need to put out a magazine just for pan fish and not have so many Ad's in it.
I got a subscription to salt water fishing, I like reading about the red snapper and sea trout and other fish . I lived in Miami Florida about 6 years .
