Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

As many of you know, I was fortunate to be part of a group of like minded souls who spent some time in Bruce's company this past weekend. I've known Bruce for a little while now, but this was my first chance to interact with him on a more extended, personal level.

Bruce opened his home, as well as his personal water,  to myself and everyone else who attended. Those of you who have been members of BBG for some time are already aware of his generosity and compassion, but rest assured that it transcends and encompasses far more than what we experience on the pages of this site. I believe it is truly boundless.

And yes, I managed to catch a fish or two. And while I realize that photos are a big part of who, and what we are here at BBG, the simple truth is what I saw and experienced cannot be done adequate justice by any photographic effort. The real message would be lost in a sea of pixels.

My friends, I'm asking all of you to please do something for me. Look around the site here at BBG.....think about what it means to you, about what you've learned from being here, what we've shared, what we've experienced  together.....then, think about who makes it all possible....one guy. Bruce.

Please, if you enjoy BBG, post a reply to Bruce in this thread and let him know it. It doesn't matter if it's a paragraph, a sentence, or just one word.........thanks.

Pretty sure I've embarrassed Bruce a time or two, heaping praises upon him.
But what the Hell, can't have too much of that!
Thanks Tony

Another member who forms the heart and soul of BBG.  I consider guys like you "core" members.  I get a really good laugh sometimes out of your great sense of humor and all the good content you add!!!

To borrow from the Cowardly Lion.... "Awww, shucks."
Its my pleasure, truly.

I wish I could say that I've met, and fished with Bruce.  However, I truly do appreciate that he has provided this resource for like-minded anglers to share info and learn from each other.  Thank you, Bruce!

Allen...we've met....just not in person. :)  The privilege is mine to be associated with guys like you.  Thank you for being such a strong member.

I dont believe Ive seen it yet, so allow me a pedestrian moment to remind the assemblage that Bruce pays all costs associated with BBG.

Among all the heartfelt emotion and approbation, this may seem rather mundane - even trite.

But we have no pesky advertisements, or any commercial solicitation to spoil the goodness that is BBG.

And THAT is because of Bruce.

We are indeed fortunate to be friends with him.

This is the greatest fishing site on the net ,

Amen to that!

Agree 100%  And I know others outside of our group who believe this to be true as well.  Thanks, Bob.

For those of you that know me here, I am never at a loss for words. With this being said, I really don't know what else to say right now, other than Bruce you have my heart felt thanks for the the vision you had when you started this great sight. It has given me many hours of fun, education, and a great way to meet new like minded fishermen.

From everything I know about Bruce I can say he is a good decent man and truly blessed. I'm honored to know him, he is my friend.

Tim, you're the best there is.  Hands down, buddy.  I look forward to every single picture you post.  I think you hold the record for highest percentage of pictures featured!  :)
