Little Crappie from the Creek by my House

The crappie wanted Tooty's bugs. We gave one of David's bug to a nearby fly fisherman who wasn't catching anything, and he immediately began catching gills and crappie.

I had never caught crappie in this spot but I had also never used the purple beadhead there.

Thanks Tony it is a little further than walking distance but a short car ride from my house.

I miss creek fishing......especially when it's within walking distance of the house, like it was when I was a boy......good times there!

Yes sir Dick most anglers probably overlook this creek but if you're willing to walk through some brush and find a good spot, it can be very productive. These crappie were not very tall but quite long like a bass.
