Hey Ray, ya those medalist are still available. I used to seel em in my shop and had 10 at one time. Let me know what size and I'll see if I have any more. I also like the old Okuma Sierra's . Silent click on in mode and liked them for that reason too. Got some of those left too I think...........

I see an old Pflueger Medalist reel in that pic of the BG. I know that the user has to be an old Fart like me. Those old Medalists are great old reels. I even have a couple of the new ones that are only a couple of years old. Not quite as good as the originals but close and more than useable. Matter of fact I wishing I had bought another one or 2. I am not sure they are available any longer.

Thanks David I will I have call a lot of things and 'OLD GEEZER" is some the better, but after 73 years I guess that is good.  A little about that bug you seen I made it on # 8 2x long hook and body is out of bass wood and the eye are from Hobby Lobby sealed with epoxie.  Didn't lone just to let the paint dry.
