Now that's the true spirit of an angler. Regardless how the day went, an image of someone holding up the catch of the day makes the day's prior events seem so insignificant. That's how I feel during a busy day, or just plain bad day. Come to this site, and see everyone's posting of photos just cheer me up.

Amen Bruce. I have noticed that pattern and I think it's a good idea.

Thanks, Jacob.  That makes me feel better.  One thing that I've discovered on the internet, is that we really have the only bluegill/shellcracker/sunfish site that gets so many cool photos.  A huge blessing, no doubt.  But I've found that when I "feature" photos, which I do on a regular basis, it seems that I gravitate more towards the smile and enjoyment of the angler than I do the size of the fish.  That's really the way it should be.  I can have a lousy day, and come home to a picture of a excited bluegill angler, and it makes things brighten up a bit.

Just kidding abou the ego and pride thing for clarification.

Thanks for the reply (and creating the site). (Looks like it took more thought than the essay I just wrote). Bruce, it would be 100% okay if you did post pictures based on your pride or ego (I think I do that...), however, we understand that you do it for more than that, and I'm sure the other members are with me when I say that we really enjoy each and every one of your posts. You seem like one of the most knowledgable gillfisherman there is and I really appreciate being on this site.
