Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Quick question:  Do you guys have a go to float?  Or do you keep an arsenal of them in your main box?

John, I cannot find it, but was there not a big write up about weighting floats a while back. If I remember had lots of good info.

Did you check my Johnny Wilson links to see if it's there Dwayne ?Go to his page if not.

Yes John I checked, this was if I remember a 2 page write up. It was about how much weight, it took to balance different floats and bobbers. I don't think Johnny wrote it. I will keep looking for it.

Try the two Tony Livingston links I provided ,I think thats what you're talking abaout!Let me know . Here they are again:

Good job  Dwayne.Sorry for the misunderstanding on my part.I'll reread this!

no need to be sorry, John. You post something I forgot about. Thank you

That article will be of more help to me than you can imagine!

Thanks for posting it

I really like some of these links, but could someone elaborate on what "balancing your float" means exactly?

In my opinion, you should fish a fixed float whenever possible. However, there are conditions that require a greater depth than a fixed float can provide, especially when coupled with a long casting distance.

Great Allen! Thanks
