Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Hey everyone! I don't really remember how i stumbled across this site, but since i did i've been coming back to it more and more and decided to join. I found out about porcupine bobbers here and saw how easy it was to make them, and since i have access to quills i made several for myself and i'm hooked! I find they are way more effective than the round foam bobbers i've been using my whole life. I can't wait to learn more about other techniques as well!

Welcome Chris....nice looking fish and Quill!

Welcome aboard, Chris! Don't be shy, post some pics of those homemade floats....

Ah! there they are. looks good!

Welcome to BBG, Chris!

I found BBG basically by accident, too, and it quickly became by far my favorite fishing site. I go here far more than I go to all other sites combined.

Welcome Chris,  and I thought I was the only one still using porcupine quills, well catch a bunch and let's see the photos.  LOFR

Welcome Chris. Great catches with the new tools. Just wait until you get into the flies.

Chris again welcome. Nice fish but what I'm really interested in is the porcupine quill float. That's something I have never used before. I've herd good things about then but never tried one I'm thinkin maybe I should give one a try especially since I've committed to using some live bait this year. Good stuff Chris keep it coming. GOOD FISHIN..

I'll get some better pics when i finally make some more, got a ton i need to do. I've been tryin to fish but this weather hasn't been cooperating, too much rain and cold and lack of cold techniques to catch some nice ones so it's just been a bunch of small ones.

Catching ANY size Bluegills can be difficult in cold weather. Well done Chris, and keep trying!....Once you figure out a pattern or two you'll start to see your catches improve.
