Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Quick Report on the last two days.....Caught 28 Yellow Perch yesterday on the same river as last week. Fish were holding on drop offs in approx 4 to 6ft of water. Same rods and reels as last week. this week the Berkley Ripple shad worked the best. The Power grub and slider grub decked quite a few but not as much as the ripple shad. Fished with a friend who is a non-member.  Today Noel and I fished the river and after a semi slow start we found the perch stacked up in a neck down area between one shoreline and a island. Fish were hitting the jigs as they hovered over the bottom. Sorta a swim and pause retrieve with a twitch and lift. Alot like fishing a rubber worm. I caught 32 fish today and Noel 16. I had a fish I would swear was close to 2lbs. She was 13" but was so full of eggs......Picture attached.

Brian what nice looking yellow perch. I'm looking at them and seeing a sandwich. 1 fish 1 sandwich. Nice job on the jumbos. Keep the fish and pictures coming. GOOD FISHIN..

Beauty perch!

Bonafide jumbos! Congrats!

Man, awesome sizes on the perch. You guys gave all the major fun out there.
..

Brian,

You are the panfish man. We should be singing yellow submarine, because that is what those perch are. Another great day! Had to finesse them.

Thank you,

Noel
