Now we are talking about the good life! Grits, fried eggs and red eye gravey!! This was the original viagra if you ask me, only downside was you had to drink about two gallon of water to catch up on the ham gravey for the rest of the day! Probably how biscuts came into being to sop up the last bit on the plate! Skin me alive and call me luggage...nothing better

Another acolyte! Remember, too, that the proper ham for red eye gravy is dry cured, "country ham."

It turns out, oddly enough, that our man Mr. Tabbert dislikes grits. How that can be possible is beyond me but knowing it, well... its time to poke a little fun at him. Thankfully, he is a good sport.

I said I didn't care for grit I didn't say I didn't like a slice of  good old saltly cured country ham hanging in the barn for 6 months. Good stuff Dave

Don't tell me Bill you to are a grits man. I'm thinkin I'm out numbered but that don't change my opinion of them. I think this is pick on Dick week but I have big shoulders I can handle it. Next you'll be telling me to try banana sandwiches. David had to best idea for grits. He said cook them up but don't eat them. Put them in the frig pull them out next morning they will be one big mass. Cut them up and it's the best chum ever. I'm going to try it but add some anise to it for a extra added advantage. Thanks Dave your full of good stuff.

David, I guess I live on the northern front of the south!!!!! Grits are prepared in cream of wheat style then Fried in bacon or sausage grease then I like to add a little Maple Syrup, Now that is a mess I can GEt INTO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Greg that sounds like it would be more palatable like that but I don't think I'm going to knock any doors down to get it.

You know Dick , I don't have grits very often, but the Banana sliced up and added to peanut butter and honey sandwich, That my friend is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You and my wife have the same appetite, she eats funny stuff to.

I like the sound of it, Greg!

Greg thank you for the info on the fly lines. Next time I'm at Bass pro I'll get one of the. Your saying 5wt is what I need. I also still have to get the wife her rod to go with here electric reel. I'm thinking I better start a wish list.

Now Dick, make sure we are talking about the same thing....is it quick grits or real grits...thats like talking about the difference between a piece of yarn and live bait. Grits may be a personal taste preference but if you been shovelling quick grits...you need a new chef...prefereably one from deep georgia! Getcha some real grits, fried egg, dry cured ham, red eye gravey...biscuts to mop things up...dang i'm hungry!

Bill I wouldn't know the difference or care to but the rest sound good enough to eat.
