I saw a thread on pondboss there a pic in there, wonder when they will post more pics on here. http://forums.pondboss.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2...

WOW!!! indeed :)

I'm sure we'll hear more about it when they get back. Pretty incredible accomplishment and fitting that it was Dr. Bluegill that caught it.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!
First a giant over 5 Redear, now a giant over 3 Bluegill!  Too cool!
An astonishing fish...period!

Here's a link to one of the photos.

What an amazing fish!!

Congrats, Bruce! You deserve that BG!

Congratulations Professor Bluegill!    That's what I call a monster gill.  The stars are lining up.

What next, Disney World?

Wow ! Wow ! Wow !

That thing is just phenominal ! I'd take a 3+ lb Gill of any shape, but I particularly like the more normal shape of the 3.2 lb'er which was just caught.

What a fish !

Heck, if I could just catch a legit 2 lb Gill, I'd be pretty darn stoked :) Instead, I'm over here messing around with these little ol' 7 lb Smallmouth Bass :) LOL

Congrats on an amazing catch ! That is absolutely world class !

Fish Chris

Hey Bruce I was just wondering...  I know you release everything you catch, and I know you will probably want a mount made of that once-in-a-lifetime Bluegill, so how are you going to have a replica made of that cool, but "different" looking Bluegill?  I wonder if any taxidermist has a mold of a Bluegill like that one.  What a mug!
Oustanding! Nice to know there are fish out there to pursue that are that size. Very nice, indeed.
