Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

What is most important to you?

A. Fish For Relaxation

This might include: Napping, Not Holding the Rod, Not Watching, Happy With Whatever the Day Brings is fine, even if that includes a few fish

B. Enjoy Outdoors

You love being out in the sun and you love being on the water. You want to catch a few more fish, but being in the outdoors invigorates you.

C. Your Are Top Predator

You crave catching fish, you love to eat some fish. Not catching fish drives you mad- you might even have to stop at the store for fish or go to the freezer.

D. Intense Competitor

You have to catch more than the next guy. Bragging sessions break out between friends and family. You must catch a bunch of fish for big fish to be happy. When you are fishing - nothing can distract you - eyes on the line, float and water at all times.

Ok - which are you?

You can rank them in order or just pick your favorite. I know there is cross-over and people enjoy multiple reasons, but I want to get a handle on different types of people ou there.

AMEN!!!!  Just to feel the pull of anything that I can persuade to take my offering, is what fishing is to me. Sometimes the type of fish I catch is even the type I'm trying to catch.
B and C I guess but not catching fish does not "drive me mad ". I enjoy Multi Species fishing and fish 12 months of the year. Each month or season I concentrate on   what is most available and changing focus depending on what's hitting or 'IN SEASON'.Always enjoy Multi species days on the water. With the exception of fishing for Channel Cats I have not used ground baits or chum.
A bit of B & C combined would be the best answers I love to fish wont by store bought fish, Love being out in Gods creation which includes multi species hunting and fishing....

There are 5 stages in a fishermans life:

1. Lord, just let me catch a fish, any fish.

2. Got to get my "limit".

3. Looking for the "Trophy" fish... World record?

4. Done it all, what can I do to make it more interesting? Light line, fly fishing?

5. Enjoy seeing others catch a fish...  it's like every fish you caught, I caught it too. (Especially kids catching their first fish)

In this case, I'm a "5"....

I guess that puts me in the  "A" category.

LOL

A big B. Even though I work outdoors, there is nothing more enjoyable than being out on the water, paddling around in my kayak, slinging little flies at Big BlueGill.
B mostly but at times I can indentify with all the rest.
I,m a D .My wife says a set my hook i my sleep.
Man has this thread taken a life of its own, good one.
Im mostly C with alot of D. I fish mostly with the wife and kids. when I fish alone I hardly ever catch anything.
Well I would say that I would have to be a A and B angler...Unless I am with my buddies then I am definatly a D angler.

I'm an A/B with a little C thrown in.

Eric

I'm B and C for sure, when I go with my Dad, uncles and cousins it's a big fat D for sure. They make it that way, even wanting to wager money for high hook. My uncle only takes serious fisherman in his boat, no lolly gagging or daydreaming. I've always got an intense look on my face when I'm chasing the bulls and redear and spend an enormous amount of energy just watching the lines move.

On the family trips here in Southern Indiana, they get pissed if each boat doesn't pull his weight...it's a JOB to make sure you bring meat back to the camp site. I've made my wife a D too, we fish HARD but also enjoy the beauty of the outdoors each time out. I do love watching other people catch big bluegill and redear, especially my dad, wife and son.
