Thanks for the kind words.........I fish some ponds that have a lot of what I call "juvenile" Bass.  These spiders, tied on a size 4 hook are the perfect size for Bass in the 1-3 pound range (Once in a while a 5 pounder will grab one too).  They are just a little heavy/draggy for my 3wt, but just right for a 5wt rod. And yes........Bass will {{HAMMER}}  these.  The frog pattern foam makes a nice looking bug (frog on the top, white foam on the bottom). Going through my fly boxes, I realized I didn't have any of this size left over from last year. Just tying a few of these made me want to go fishing............"Hurry-Up-Spring".............Don in SC

The frog pattern is printed on the foam, I wish I could remember where I found those foam sheets. I might need to do a search on the web..................Don

I like the frog patterned foam. Did you make it or buy it?

Ooooo..eyes perfect for being caught by the birds. Body is great for getting hammered by the fishes below. I got to see the bird and fish hammer this at one time.

Looks very similar to the Gurgle-Pops that I tie, only these are in Frog colors.  I bet these bugs get eaten quite frequently, don't they?
