Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Will it catch fish I don't know. I was tying and it seamed to easy so I added some chenille in the centers to bulk them up a little but maybe simple in this case was better I guess seeing will be believing.

Ken I can check on it I know it comes in different colors of green. It probably could be matched pretty close but I've seen green pumpkin different shades of green for different manufactures I don't think there is a set color.

David... excellent article and it really makes sense. After raising and breeding tropical fishes all these years. Feeding pond water to near microscopic fry as their starter food. Has anyone seen pond water under a microscope... it is full of " wigglers". Now step up in size to mosquito larva .... the ultimate wiggler. This is programmed in fish to feed instinctively on this movement no matter what size they are. This explains the clear popularity of wacky rigging a worm. This is my number one popular bass lure this year. Number one in texas for years.

The invertebrates the Swam Juan worm mimics are apparently universal, it seems. Every body of water has some kind of aquatic worm, usually 1-3" in length. The best colors to mimic these are red and purple, along with darker natural hues.

Here's a good article, Dick...
