Ramapo River in mid August
Lost a fine Jumping Smallmouth on a 1" chartruese Twister tail today.A strong river fish, 13 or 14 " I guess.Jumped ,bulldoggged while taking drag and broke off when I applied pressure as he approached a snag down stream .I would have been better off I believe if I was on the other side of the river , it would have been easier to walk downstream from there.

My own fault Tony .Like I said, I should have been on the other side of the river or had 4# test instead of 2# test where I was . I was pleased to see him jump! It's been a long long time setting the hook into a river smallie and my rustiness showed .He was the boss and the teacher!
