I imagine Trout magnets would work great Carl! You should see the size of lures some fish will hit when they are turned on under the ice .Particularly early ice .

Gills compared to Bass, Perch and Crappie seem to like the least movement in my experience Leo.Deadsticking off a bucket holder catches better numbers but sometimes small movements and long waits between more small movements works well .I recall when I used an Aqua view camera a few times out on the ice (before the cheap think broke and was unfix able) I saw gills get spooked and swim off when i jigged my bait but in about 10 seconds of deadsticking come back to investigate

Hey Carl-That's a tandem Tabbert jig assortment on the right there ,underneath one of my favorite ice Crappie Nungesser spoon.

The jigs on the left have all proven themselves tipped with waxies .The bottom ratty looking thing is just a red marabou feather tied on a 64th oz. head .Works good!
