Nice closeup Jeffrey. I also purchased a Sony camera this year but you have a much better camera with the Carl Zeiss lens. I do own a much nicer camera but a little to pricy to be taking out on the water. Jeffrey always try to keep the sun to your back with the sun on what you want to take a picture of. Never take a picture with the sun directly in the lens.

I had read great things about the Carl Zeiss glass Fish......There are several attachments available that I'm looking into.....The sun is the only issue I normally battle........It takes great pictures during the early morning and late evening peak periods.....Thanks again Fish!

Hey Jeffrey, that's an awesome compact ! Carl Zeiss glass too !?  I don't think you need the DSLR for fantastic fish shots. I'm thinking you might be able to finds an adapter for this camera, that allows for polarizing filters and such ?

Even though I have a DSLR that I always take with me on fishing trips, that's usually just for long shots, with my big lens. I do ALL of my fish shots with a compact, much like the one your using here.....

Keep snapping them though, and showing them here :)

I've used this Compact since the beginning of May...Have got the same advice from a professional photographer Fish.....I'm still playing around with some things to improve the pictures I share....I play around with the camera a lot hen I fish by myself...Out of three hours on the water Saturday, I think I fished for two and snapped photos for the other hour...

Appreciate the advice....might have to sneak out the nice 35mm......LOL

Awesome. Look at how grass green the tip of his nose is.

Fantastic shot ! What camera / lens did you use ???

If you haven't / weren't already, have you considered using a polarizing filter to reduce glare ? It might allow you to bump up the exposure a little higher, while still eliminating any blowouts.

Circ. Polarizers are funny though.... depending on how you have them, they can pump up the color..... or wash it out.

Either way, a great shot ! What a pretty fish  :)

Peace,

Fish
