Female - had 2 holes. Notice in the full size pic that the black on the scales - on the shoulder - are at the front of the scales. Further back they are all black and then they are black at the tip of the scales (like males). Not sure why this happens....

At LP when males get about this size they start developing their knot on the head. We did catch some males - to busy fishin to take more pics.

My vision might be playing with me too Tony, but I do see 4 faded bars along the body. That's why I'm curious myself whether it's actually a hen or a bull. Then the confirmation of the black tipped scales. But, how many masters here confirm it as a hen, I have to bow down and say a hen and suffer in my ignorance.

Curious fish....I usually find the black tipped scales on the "shoulder" indicative of a male.
