Leo and Dick I tried one each of your flies yesterday and the fish were pulling at both of them but not taking 9except for this fish).However  they would take a small jig under a float very consistently . I don't know why they acted this way but I will persevere with your flies .

What's the cast-and-soak to hookset ratio on the jig vs surface? If a small one this chasing after large bugs at the surface, they're expecting an opportunistic feast soon.

Yeah, John, I get those little terrors on all sorts of things, I hooked one about that size on a Rooster Tail not long ago.
