Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Now this girl is my management buddy, and usually out fishes me, as you can see from the picture. She helped land the 3lb LMB in the other post but this one was all her.

That's a fine looking LMB and a sizable one for being your first. Keep fishing and smiling we love to see them both.

Looking through my old pictures and realize it is time to get this girl out again and see what she can bring in. We plan to go on Thursday if the weather holds out and have not been to the pond in a few months. We have had a ton of rain since then so hope it is full and there are still fish in it.

What a great smile! She ain't proud of that bass is she?

I was fishing last August with my 13 year old granddaughter. We caught 22 nine to ten inch beautiful bluegill at the edge of a beaver lodge. Out of nowhere she says, "lets move"! Let's move I said! We're tearin' 'em up right here! I want to catch some bass she says. WOMEN! (in training).

You are right, and that is why it is disappointing to find out that it is full of GSF, when I spent all that money on the fish (which I am sure was eaten byt the GSF) that may have been big enough by the end of summer to pull a few out to eat.

Does anyone happen to know what type of LMB this is (Florida, Northern, Tiger, or some other Hybrid)?

Plus when we did go for the first time there, she was not too happy and wanted to know where the big fish were.

Strange what kids say, anyway by this time next year there should at least be some decent size LMB in there if I hurry up and get them in there to clean out the GSF.
