I'll take a feisty esox any day.
IM happy to catch anything, since I mostly suck as an angler.
But I prefer Pickerel over other game fish, if it isn't a bluegill.

I just wish I could catch them with more consistency.

Thanks Leo our water's still hovering in the high forties-low fifties. I'm hoping next week it can kick up a few degrees and make the bass more active.

Yes it was, 25 feet or so. We got five pike on it too.

1/4oz... was it deep?

Thanks guys! David, I got it on a 1/4oz white jighead and a smelt colored powerbait minnow. Of hundreds of largemouth I've caught in this lake it was the first one to take that setup.
