thanks Bruce...just one yesterday... but there are days with one every cast for periods at a time ... then it stops suddenly.
What a nice fish. Did you catch anymore over 12 inches?
Great fish. How many of those did you catch?
LOL Yep. I thought there was a struggle with a mermaid, as she caused you to cap-side your boat, and slapped you a few times during the struggle, causing a few injuries.
Feel better soon. Make sure not to anger the significant other too much now ;-)
next time slip stinker;; its easier to just do what the wifey says do! a lot less painful!-- LOL!!
Now, I don't want to be rude, but, is that neck accessory a new fad or a fishing-related story behind it?
thanks Jim and Carl ...my love affair with this fish started when i was a youngster growing up close to lake St Clair... during the summer the neighborhood kids used to get together ride bikes down to the pier and catch these fish running against the break wall all day long on cut bait or worms.
i was pleasantly surprised to find them in Wixom Lake. they are a hit and miss opportunity schools move in and out of a spot so quickly they are hard to target. this time of year during their spawning ritual they gather in the narrower sections of the reservoir and rocky shorelines and thats when i do my best.
That fish is on my 'list'! That would be a lifetime catch for me! Congrats!
always keep looking for new spots!! they just might produce!! nice one slip stinker!!
