Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

I got these from Frank, "Paco" Manuele today.
They are very soft, gel-like baits with super-thin, wiggly tails. He makes them himself and they look very "fishy." He also does something interesting on the plain shank jig heads - he has a soft wire wrapped around the eye which is hooked into the body to hold it in place.
seen something like it in the old books, but have never seen anyone today do it.

Thanks Paco, and I hope I can get out soon to try them

No problem.
Simple solution to a nagging problem. Now, any old ball head jig is made better!
Way to go Frank!

Thanks David I got the just of it now. Thanks for the quick comeback, hard to believe something that simple can relieve lots of plastic headaches. Thats the biggest problem I faced was I love soft plastics but they get tore up and your replacing them a lot. This might help some. When I ever get back out fishing I'll surely give it a try. AGAIN THANKS....

Its just a soft wire bail twisted around the jig eye.
It looks like small floral wire, by my guess.

Mainly the wire help holding the plastic on.

Good luck on the weekend time David and good luck. I love fishing jigs and seems to always be my go to bait.

Frank do you think you can get a better picture of the wire system maybe one with the wire them through the bait.

John I have always used a trailer hook and plastics on my spinner bait helps with them short strikes and of  coarse them infamous toothy strikes they have a hard time biting off since 90 percent of the hook ups are on the trailers.
