It was a blast Vince for sure. I've had 6 on and they break off or run all my line off then break off. I stocked 12 just wanted to see what they would do and glad I did it's always exciting when you have a hook up. I've caught them on my 4wt and ultra light spinning  this is the 1st with the 2wt.

That had to be a blast on a 2wt., Dick. I caught one about 2 1/2 lbs. on a ultra light with 4lb. test, and had my hands full.  I was crappie fishing and caught it on a jig and minnow.

Thank you Greg you told me it could be done I really didn't think it could it took awhile but finally the 2wt came through for me. The fly has been the only thing so far I've caught fish on in the pond other than my grand daughters live bait.

I got them at a fish farm in Ridgeville Corners Ohio about a half hour from the house. Seem like they were about 3 bucks apiece. I think they we a little bigger than fingerlings the first one's I got were fingerlings these were 4 or 5 inches and fast hard to believe how fast them things are.

May I ask, what did the dozen cost?
And where do you get them?
Comment by dick tabbert on October 22, 2013 at 4:59pm

Yea David I stock a dozen a couple years ago. Have caught them numerous times. I put some in 4 years ago but they disappeared and I told the kids they could fish it but if these 12 come up missing so would there fishing privileges, so far so good.

Greghopper talked me into it Leo and I love it getting so when I fish the fly rod I use it 75 percent of the time.

Comment by Leo Nguyen on October 22, 2013 at 4:43pm

I'm close in getting that 2wt..well, used one. Making sure I at least learn how to handle a 2wt before investing in a massive amount of money on a good rod that will last.
