Thanks Carl. I also made these flies up plain and with Colorado blades somewhere are pictures. My mind like yours is working all the time trying to think of different things to tie. I'll be on a brief pause got to clear off the table and get started on taxes.

Thank you Jeffrey kind sir. I'm trying for new things all the time and don't mind telling you I have had some flops it all in trial and error. For the most part I think I'm happy with most of my ties but the most important part is the self satisfaction of the tie and sharing with others.

Thank you Steve. I ordered some #10 60 degree hooks from Allen Fly Fishing a couple weeks ago. Still haven't received them. Called them and they were suppose to get back with me which hasn't happened yet. I had some hooks I got from Janns and thought wonder if they would work if I bent them into a 60 degree bend myself. They did but the hardest part was trying to keep the bend the same on all of them without making a jig. I think they all turned out pretty close to one another. The hook bent well only broke one. They were Mustads 3261 #8's and seemed to work well. Like I always say our only obstacle is our minds. Glad this post might help you and others that's what it's all about.
