We use the grubs for bait but never saw a bobber made from the galls.  Way cool.

Yep, goldenrods... I've collected grubs from those in the past. I still favor the worms found in Hickory nuts.....a weevil of some sort, I believe.

I've heard these plants called Goldenrod. It's wild how they look like floats. I keep on the lookout for possibilities in nature.
