It depends on the size of the float. Most will stand up 1/8 ounce. My favorite rig is a small one with a #10 hook. On a pole or ultra light rod and reel.

Great idea.. Match this with a cane pole and a #6 hook and we're talking real old school. It's so simple it's brilliant.

How much shot do you need to set the float.

The bodies are cobs of common field corn. The shafts on these are the tips of wild cane.
