Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

My catch from a couple of weeks ago.... daughter wanted me to bring em home and cook em, then she doesn't eat them! I fried them and ate them all! At least now I know how many is needed for a meal with sides!
From left to right (length/visible side girth):
7.5"/3.5", 7"/3", 6.5"/3", 7"/3", 6.25"/2.5", and 6.5"/3" total width of all fish 16"

I filleted them, stupid question but what is field dress whole? taking guts out?  I think I did a great job for my first time filleting.  Cut through the ribs on the first one or two, then figured out how to work around them without losing hardly any meat!

Actually...6.5 to 8.5 inch gills make great eating, and a skillfull hand can make fillets. When I run into a lake that seems to have an overabundance of gills that size I try to harvest some for a fish fry.  And there are so many waters that have fish that size in them.
