Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

Fished a 1/80th ounce pink shrimp under a quill at five to six feet near bottom in creek channels.....Down sized with water temps around 52 to 53 degrees.......

Heres a couple of pics, Jeffrey. Mine have zero cool factor, unlike yours, although mine cost about $0.10 each. They start out about 12", and I shorten them.

Sounds cool David...any pictures?......I have enjoyed fishing the quill in cold waters to detect any bait movement...sometimes just a fish passing by......lol......I tune mine so the water line is right at the black and white split...........

I have plastic straw wafflers that I've done the same way.
I cut mine to 4" to aid casting.

Yep...real easy to adjust the depth and the orange painted tip is very visible......

Thanks Dick.....had a few productive hours today.......it was getting chilly when I picked up......unfortunately we'll see a significant drop in water temps the next 24 hours which will slow the bite even more.......

Got a few quill floats from Bob Garner...the most sensitive strike indicator I've ever fished......
