Me neither, Kent.

I can't recall if it was here or a vid I saw on YouTube, but people were fishing off of a boat dock and catching bluegill (or RES?) in the 7-9 inch range one after another.  They could be plainly seen in Havasu's super clear water. That's my kind of fishing!

If I lived out there I would never get any work done because I would be hunting those giants every day!!!! Man, I couldn't imagine the battle on 6# line and a UL rod!

GOOD LORD!! I'm scare in what these things will do if I happen to take a skinny dip in the middle of the hot night.

It's 300 miles from my house to Lake Havasu City, and this has really got me thinking about whether there's any way for me to make it out there for a weekend this summer :-)

Bluegills are not equipped with the pharyngeal "crushers" needed to break up the shells on snails and mollusks. Pumpkinseeds are, however.

Unreal!! You would have to use twelve-fourteen lb test on medium stiff rods when targeting that redear population!!

What a hog.

I thought the gear in the background looked pretty suspect.  At least the current world record was caught by a guy targeting them.
