Great catch. The water looks so calm too. Must be an excellent area for breeding monsters.
Great looking Redear! here in texas is just getting good for red ears, this is one of my favorite times of the year
I need to find me some waxies for this winter. Once in a great while you can find them at bait shops here in GA. I like fishing hair jigs.
Thanks Jim it's awesome. Friday we got some real fall weather which pushed the fish shallow to structure in the lake that I was fishing.
Thanks Vince I got him on a chartreuse hair jig that may or may not have been tipped with a waxworm I don't remember. It was by a downed tree in the middle of the lake.
Panfish late in the fall...how cool is that!?
Great 'cracker Jacob. They pull like a freight train when they get that big. What did you catch it on?
Thanks tooty I cant wait to use the bugs this spring
HEY THERE JACOB LINDER HILL, NNNNNNNNNNICE FISH AND HOPE YOU GIVE THE BUGS A TRY THIS COMING SPRING when the bite is on better.
Troy: It is that lake in Scottsburg, that I get to fish less than ten times a year. The amazing thing is that it isn't managed at all, and hasn't been stocked since the 70's. There are a ton of bass in the lake so it keeps the gill and redear population in check. The previous owner you had to keep every gill or crappie you caught... Weird, but it made for a great panfish fishery.
