I figured that the creative minds of BBG members would allow for some interesting takes.....and I wasn't disappointed!

I wish that the objects in question could live up to some of the outstanding guesses, but in reality, they're actually membrane diffusers.....for an aeration system. I'm swapping out some of mine that have been on the pond bottom for a few years, and when these showed up I got the bright idea of snapping a photo, with nothing in the picture for size perspective, and seeing what folks thought.

These to diffusers will attach to a base that sits on the bottom of one of our ponds. An airline runs from a compressor on the shore out to them, and when it's switched on it will slightly pressurize the diffusers....the membrane tops have 6-7000 very tiny slits.    .5 mm......and they will create a column of micro bubbles, which in turn will develop a current of sorts, carrying the otherwise stagnant bottom water up to the surface. This has the effect of mixing the water from top to bottom, ensuring adequate dissolved oxygen levels, and stabilizing water temps.

This means that our fish will be able to ultilize the entire BOW......better water quality is beneficial to the fish, the pond's ecosystem itself, and it usually allows for a higher stocking ratio than an unaerated BOW.

Transducer thumping probe ends for eliminating high frequency shock waves. This of course is to make zooplankton rise too further enhance the satisfier ecosystem in the back yard pond.

thrummingetters: little drum heads that thump out a rhythm that big bluegill can't resist (should be illegal) most effective when used with the banjo minnow. Years of scientific study by doctor Livingston discovered the connections to rock and roll gills and this irresistible beat. Just lower the thrummingetters into your favorite waters and watch the gill party begin!
