Thank Mike. All the hook sizes on these are #8. I made the next size larger popper and it is quit a bit larger and those are #4 and I tried a couple with #6 cause the 4's look to be a little big for gills..

Looked at all your popper pictures, and they all look great! What is the size hook on the yellow one in this pic?

I love poppers for bluegill when the water warms up!

Carl I heated up the bodkin after making a jig so the needle would go in relatively straight.
