Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

2nd fish caught. Had 2 other bite both broke off one taking almost all my line to the backer line I'm thinking it was one of my Hybrid Strippers but I guess I'll really never know. I think I'm going to really be able to get into the new rod.

John It appears to be nice I don't have anything to compare it to you don't see many 2WT rod out for you o look at but I took a chance and bought it and glad I did even though I don't have the fly rod thing down yet I'm still enjoying it.  My goal is to catch a hybrid stripper on it don't know that it will happen but that's my goal and after using the rod a little my goal may be a little high. I had one hooked yesterday and he almost got to my backing then broke off but it was at least great till that happened.

Greg I got to admit the Hybrid Stripper peeling off all than line in a matter of seconds like it did was a high even though I didn't have a chance of landing it WOW. I really do think I'm going to love it and I get it Greg I'm the wind in the knot thanks for the clarification.

Greg you know the 2WT was fun I got to agree but I don't think I ever could go to a 1WT but lucky for me I don't eat a lot of fish. I do think maybe I'll go up to a 4X tippet unstead of the 3X they put on at Cabelas I really want a 5X but don't want to break nothing.

Dick, You don't need wind for WIND KNOTS!!!!! It is just the excuse FLY-RODDERS can fall back on!!!!!!! YOU LOVE the 2 WT. eh!!!!!  How about a 1 wt.???? LOL

A record size BLUEGILL, might do the same as what the striper would do!!!!!!! Ah the one that got AWAY!!!!!!! I would go with the BLUEGILL story!!!!!!

OUTSTANDING DICK!!!!!!! GLAD you have most of the kinks worked out and 4 wind knots isn't all that bad ole buddy. Congrats and tight lines ! I'll bet that bass was fun on the 2 weight huh!

Hey Dick, you haven't pierced an ear yet? Happens to the best of us !

Leo I wish that were true after spending 70 bucks at Cabelas for the lines I already have about 4 knots in my tippet only using it four an hour or so. But it is a fun rod I just have to learn it.

That is awesome Dick! You are mastering that 2wt rod like it's an extension of your arm.
