I can understand that.  That's why I'll stick with my man-powered kayak.  Now, if I ever get a canoe, I might be a square-back canoe and put a trolling motor on it.

@Allen: yep, I saw the Torqeedo. But, the motor, plus batteries, way too heavy. I might as well strap a 4HP Yamaha gas motor, and weight as much as the Torqeedo, minus the battery weight.

@ Leo - have you seen the "torquedo" for kayaks?  It's a battery-powered motor.  Of course, you have to buy the kayak w/ the motor.
