Bluegill - Big Bluegill

Do you love big bluegill?

My friend "Doc" with his Personal Best Gill 5/25/2012

Doc is now convinced that he should come fish with me more often after catching his personal best Bluegill on Live Crickets...Just short of 11 inches.......

I was glad to get my "submariner" friend Doc and his son Matt out a few times this year....between them they caught 4 personal bests on 3 trips...Fliers for both, Bluegill for Doc and Crappie for Matt....that makes it alot of fun!

Nice big one. Now that's a catch to content with. Hope the fight was brutal as the gill appears.

Great Coppernose Jeffrey. The fish looks to be as wide as it is long.

I'd have to agree with Doc's assessment.

Way to go Doc...I had a great time and glad you guys came down and spent the day...At least we didn't get skunked! Very nice Bluegill....one you can be proud of......It doesn't surprise me that another angler has caught his personal best on the Pasquotank River!
