Thanks everyone. I've never been lucky enough to run into a meanmouth, either the original LMB x SMB or the smallie x spotted bass hybrid that has recently taken over the moniker. I would love to get one someday as they are some cool-looking fish. Ken, this one was caught on medium tackle for a change. I thought I'd try to target the bass in the pond to start the afternoon off. This one hit a Berkley Havoc Rocket Craw. I had a nice largemouth throw the hook before catching this smallie.

LOL largemouth is definitely a bucket mouth. Smallmouth is a meanmouth. Cross between the two should be a dangerous mouth.

Leo the Meanmouth was when they crossed a Largemouth and a Smallmouth and came up with the Meamouth. Haven't herd much about then for quit awhile.
