Hybrids have a very aggressive nature, and when you couple that with their bigger mouth size (gape), you have the combination for a BG that is capable of taking large lures....provided they're in the mood to feed!
Sounds about right. I caught 5" to 9" coppernose on a Rapala X-rap that was meant for the bass, purple midsink hovering about 2 feet below water, during trolling sessions on my float tube along the weed line as well. These little thing can be ferocious when they're hungry.
I caught this fish on the small Rapala X-Rap, size 4, hanging from the fishes mouth. I was just casting around, fishing for anything that would bite. The other hybrid pic I posted hit it too, also caught a couple small largemouths on it in the half hour or so I was fishing.
Jeez, that thing is big.
Very Nice!
Nice hybrid Adam did you have a bait of choice?
Sweet...that's a chunky Hybrid Adam!
