thanks Ben... sometimes everything feels like a trophy on UL..lol....

i dont intentionally fish for them anymore... im  nearly 100% panfishing nowadays with UL and Micro UL equipment... bite-offs happen often.

Great catch Ken! Do you use leaders for Pike?

Comment by Slip Sinker on May 19, 2016 at 4:52am

...surprising how many N.Pike i luckily land on the  thin super lines... if i can get past the initial hookset the odds turn to my favor. the whole time fighting the N.Pikes i can feel the picking of the line across their teeth as i fight the fish like a pick on a guitar string.

2# test Woah , must've been lip hooked .Nice job keeping him from biting off !

…yep i hear ya Leo... what was nice i tagged it on mu 4-6' UL with 2# test twitching for the panfish. set the hook expecting a crappie and this junior pike takes off on a little run

Best to have a straggler or two than a skunk.

Thanks... Cold front shut everything down
Except a couple stragglers
