Thanks Dick and Vince... what I did notice I catch alot of them where sandy firm bottom meets a weedline.
I still remember the look on my Dad's face when us kids used to catch one. Maybe thats why I also prize them.

Nice seed but no matter how big or small they are the beauties of the fresh water world. I can never catch enough.

Good p'seed,Ken I remember catching them as a kid in IA. They are so colorful and good fighters as I remember. Most of the ones we caught back then were real small. We caught then in a lagoon at the city park along the Mississippi River.

Thanks guys... used to love catching these off the dock as a kid. Tony my best until I moved up north was probably 6" also. My pb is at just under nine now. Master angler in michigan is at 9".
