Do you love big bluegill?

Dwayne good to hear from ya. Devil's kitchen is supposed to be really deep and did the low water there affect the gill spawn? Can't believe even that lake was down......
that will be a dream trip, Sir Jeffrey is a great guy. He will put you on some fish, I am sure of that. Small lakes down here took. a beating last year. Some smaller necks at Devils Kitchen were dry.
Thanks Dwayne and sure I"m not the only one that lost prime water this year. Haven't been on a trip in a couple years and heading south to see Sir Jeffrey in May and hopefully the tidal waters won't dry up too.......
Tooty, hate to hear the news about the pond. Rivers down here are out of banks, but ponds are still not up to par. My favorite hot dog pond, got hit real hard this year.
One of my most memorable gills from 2012. Now because of the drought here they are all gone in Kent's pond and will be missed by me greatly this year.......... This fish was memorable because he was caught on a streamer and didn't use those much in the last 10 years, but this year I did with success and can't wait for spring 2013 and give em a try again......
Beautiful gill, Tooty! Blue and white is my go to color for yellow perch. I probably fish that combination more than any other color, but some days they prefer other combinations like black and green, and all white.
Larry as you can see lots of stuff hit's the blue........
Nice fish David! 9" but tall and fat
Thanks everyone and yup VInce this one did have a striking pink breast on it. Of course I'm usually in Hibernation mode by this time of the year and don't know if this is normal or not.
Never seen one like this in the summertime. No Rick this bug was made about 5 years ago and never got a chance to try it . Last time over at Kents' I also caught some real nice crappies on it and the Rasberry's. Guess I'm going to make a few more for next spring Crappies cause it has worked two times in a row and that's good enough for me. Got some other colors in mind too...........
That is a large fish! Very interesting color.
