11-8-2014 9-49-57 AM-- CLOSING THE DOOR FOR THE 2014 OPEN WATER SEASON!

Looking at the long range forecast for Michigan with 10 deg below normal temps for the next 3 weeks its time to winterize and wind up the rod and reels and store them in the basement for the season. Its been a great open water season for me … one of the best ever! Looking forward to getting on the early ice before it gets to thick

Now that my knee is officially kaput, my season has been slammed shut, too.
It's like that, Ken. It gets good, and them the party ends

I'm telling ya, though, you had one helluva year. I stand in envious awe of your turnout this season.

Jim i actually heard the door slam shut! lol... earlier than last year by a couple weeks ..michigan has become the new north pole the past couple years

If I saw a forecast like that for my region I would cry like a baby...or, at least until safe ice formed!
