I was catching most of my fish at 18 to 24 inches on a steep drop off out to 12 feet....I decided to fish down to three feet deep but the gills were feeding more shallow.......I discovered the Bullhead layer at 3 feet and caught about 5 or 6 before I returned shallow.....Fun to catch on my light tackle.....These guys were crushing the same little bait....Pink/White Curly Tail Grub tipped with a live cricket.......These cats were in the Perquimans River.....another blackwater river off the Albemarle Sound....

I keep telling my wife, if we ever live where I can catch shrimp, I probably won't work...........

I'd be happy to eat shrimp every day.

Took a break from fishing to enjoy another South Carolina low country past time.......The Blue Crabs have started crawling so we went and caught a bushel this afternoon for some good eats before we return to North Carolina.....Of course we were pestered by a local gator who stole some of our chicken legs.....

Wowzers!

I heard that the Colorado State Striped Bass record was broken a few weeks ago, but there is a controversy that the fish might have come from a different state.
