Giant Goonch catfish.....Whatever gets in that mouth probably isn't going anywhere.....

Hey Jeff - I'd be more worried about gators coming after me!

Man..any fish that big in the States, they would have been hunted to extinction as prized stuffers. But imagine the fun in the fight. I think Florida still have their Goliath bass, right?

Could you just imagine if a Bluegill would get this big......It would kinda be like a Chihuahua the size of a St. Bernard.......And all the time you're trying to land them the crocidiles are trying to steal them right off your line...........That adds some chaos!

I've spear fished in my lifetime, but I don't think I would pursue the Giant Snakehead in the murky waters without a rod n' reel.....I'm just saying!

I was just thinking, what would actually freak me out in Florida isn't snakeheads in the water, it's that they've got some pretty good-sized pythons down there, more than large enough to be a danger to people. Gators remain more of a threat, it's true, but putting pythons into the mix doesn't help. Go fishing with a shotgun in case you see one :p

Dwayne, you crack me up.  You are so right.  I've heard that story a million times.  It was always a "reliable" source.  LOL

We used to eat them back in the old country, when I stayed with my families in the countryside. Fried version tasted the best. The young ones, roasted them and eat with soups. Tried the sun dried version..not my taste.
